The Cloud Services Lead is responsible for ensuring the group wide successful adoption of Qantas Cloud services. This role will lead a team of Cloud and DevSecOps engineers to deliver the service with high quality and efficiency. It is expected that this role will work with and manage Service Partners such as Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, and Google to deliver Cloud technologies/products to the Qantas business.
The Cloud Services Lead participates in 24x7 on-call support rotation and will oversee any projects or activities associated with delivering Qantas Cloud services, covering financial planning of both capital expenditure and operating budget, management of consumer demands, supplier performance, quality assurance and operational excellence. As Cloud is a relatively new and emerging technology in both the IT industry and Qantas, the Cloud Services Lead will play the role of a key evangelist to define, communicate and execute the strategy to educate the organisation and drive secure cloud service adoption.
**You’ll bring**:
- Linux
- Windows
- AWS, Azure and GCP cloud services
- CI/CD methodology, processes and tools
- Kubernetes, Docker and other container technologies
- Experience with managing & reporting of vulnerability information
- Leadership experience, with the ability to lead highly skilled technicians
- Automation experience with Orchestration tools and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation and deploying SAST scanning tools
- Stakeholder and Vendor Management experience
- Significant technical knowledge in the areas of hosting, integration, storage, network technologies, and DevOps and automation engineering, all of which are tightly coupled with the delivery of Cloud technology and services
- Implementation of large-scale, high volume and high availability critical systems in Cloud environment such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud
- Experience in the use of monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog
- OOP concepts and modern scripting languages and frameworks, previous software engineering experience would be highly desirable.
- ITIL problem management and incident management processes
- Production Support experience in Windows and Linux environments
- Cloud security best practices, enterprise architectural assessment of emerging technologies, frameworks, products and tools.
