Mulgowie Farming Company is a large Australian owned and operated horticultural business, specialising in the growing, packing, marketing and distribution of fresh vegetables for domestic and export markets. Over the past 75 years, Mulgowie Farming Company has grown far and wide, with vegetable farms across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Mulgowie farmers are passionate about tending to **Healthy Soil**, growing **Healthy Plants** and consistently providing high quality, nutritious fresh vegetables for **Healthy People**.
**The role**
The purpose of this newly developed role is to:
- Own and improve Supply Planning, Procurement and Logistics functional areas in support of Supply Chain.
- Reduced input costs through the effective execution of cost reduction plans across farm raw materials, packaging, repairs and maintenance inputs, and utilities.
- Reduced logistics costs through improved freight optimisation and internal transfers.
- Improved internal processes for managing procurement and logistics, achieving sustainable headcount reductions in support services.
- Improve internal supply planning and processes for production planning
- Understand and then provide focused leadership to ensure timeliness of delivery on agreed initiatives across the Supply Chain in support of
- Improved Order Fulfilment Process.
- Improved efficiency in how cross functional activities are executed to increase responsiveness and more effectively mitigate risks.
- Improved data to decision making in areas of ownership.
- Consistent and predictable materials and services supply.
- Improved Supply Chain efficiencies, resource utilisation and costs.
- Own the Integrated Business Planning process.
**About you**:
- Strong business acumen with a strategic understanding of business drivers, market knowledge and contemporary operational risk issues.
- Strong leadership and engagement skills to motivate staff to deliver operational excellence.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships based on respect and trust across all levels of the business.
- Demonstrated ability of a high Emotional Quotient (EQ).
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Personal accountability demonstrated through monitoring, evaluation and improvement.

**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 10 years experience in supply chain related management.
- Minimum 5 years Senior management experience.
- Application of Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership of Operations teams to achieve business objectives and accountabilities.
- Effective liaison, including information and advice to employees at all levels and across all business units and support functions.
- Delivery of high quality, results-oriented customer-focussed solutions.
- Process innovation planning, analysis and advice to a diverse audience to assist and influence strategic decision-making.
