NSW Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join the Reform Programs team in a diverse role as a Project Officer.

This role will provide both strategic and operational support in the development and delivery of workforce enablement projects in collaboration with project teams and key internal and external stakeholders to support achievement of program and organisational objectives. These programs are linked to the workforce elements aimed at the uplift of workforce capacity, capability and culture of service redesign and Reform Programs.

**In this role you will;**
- Support the design, development, establishment and delivery of workforce enablement and transformation projects, that deliver measurable uplift in workforce capacity, capability and culture.
- Support the development and implementation of a range of projects, including all aspects of project planning, coordination of resources, management of budgets and reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and within agreed scope
- Collaborate with other members of the team in the preparation and delivery of projects.
- Support business areas with recruitment activities to ensure all processes are in accordance with Department and Public services recruitment guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships across the directorates and with other areas in the Department, including across the Operations Group as well as the People Group.
- Support the Directorate to develop and deliver systems, processes, programs etc. that enable performance management, high levels of engagement, and capability uplift according to policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Undertake research and provide strategic advice, information and reports on diverse and complex policy, planning and operational matters to facilitate informed decision making and planning.
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery

**We are seeking someone with;**
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in school operations and activities.
- Working within tight timelines to organise change activities and logistics of business process, technology and organisational changes.
- Contribute to project workforce strategies and plans including stakeholder, communications, leadership alignment, and transition.?
- Demonstrated experience of working in a large, complex organisation on change and/or workforce transformation projects.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in schools
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Tertiary qualification or experience in the field of Human Resources, Business and/or Psychology is desirable and advantageous but not essential
