**The role**

The NSW Government is determined to make NSW a place where everyone has access to safe and secure housing, and where experiences of homelessness are rare, brief and non-recurring.

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.

Homes NSW leads work to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW.

**What you’ll do**

The Ministerial Project officer will work in a small team to prepare high-level responses to Ministerial and Departmental correspondence, briefings and Parliamentary material in a consistent, timely and accurate manner.

The role will require you to perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of housing and homelessness related projects in line with established objectives across the Office of the CEO Homes NSW.

**Key accountabilities**

Reporting to the Manager - Office of the CEO, the responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

- Coordinating and preparing high quality Ministerial and Departmental correspondence
- Preparing briefing materials for Ministerial and CEO visits
- Coordinating and reviewing Parliamentary material, including House Folder Notes, Parliamentary Questions, Notices of Motion speeches, Standing Order 52 responses, Budget Estimate Notes and Cabinet advice
- Developing correspondence, agendas, briefings in a timely manner

**What we’re looking for**
- Experience in preparing high quality Ministerial and Departmental correspondence in a fast paced environment
- High level administrative and project coordination skills
- Ability to maintain effective relationships and communication with staff in the Minister’s Office, senior executives of the portfolio agencies and key stakeholders
- A professional demeanour and the ability to work with many differing personalities
- Experience utilising TRIM, MiniApp and HOMES IT system
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail.
