Ndis Support Worker

**About the Role**

We are seeking **highly skilled, reliable, and compassionate support workers** to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. This position involves working with participants who have **complex needs**, requiring staff who are resilient, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality care.

The role will involve **self-care support, personal care, daily living assistance, and complex behavioural support** in a structured home environment. Staff must be prepared to work across **morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts** to ensure 24/7 support for our participant.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide **personal care and self-care support**, including showering, dressing, toileting, and hygiene assistance.
- Support participants with **daily living tasks**, including meal preparation, medication prompts, and household duties.
- Manage **complex behaviours** using approved behaviour support strategies, ensuring safety and dignity at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely **progress notes, incident reports, and data collection** in line with NDIS and organisational requirements.
- Implement strategies from **support plans, behaviour plans, and health care plans** as directed.
- Foster independence, skill development, and community participation for the participant.
- Communicate effectively with the participant, family, and team members.
- Respond calmly and professionally to **challenging behaviours or high-pressure situations**.
- Ensure the participant’s environment is safe, respectful, and supportive.

**Key Requirements**
- Minimum **12 months experience** in disability, SIL, or complex care environments.
- **Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent** (essential).
- Demonstrated experience with **complex behaviours, high needs, and personal care**.
- **Current NDIS Worker Screening Check** and **Working With Children Check**.
- **First Aid and CPR Certificate** (must be valid).
- **Manual Handling** and **Medication Training** (desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to complete accurate documentation.
- Reliability, flexibility, and willingness to work across a **24/7 roster** including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and overnight shifts.
- Must hold a **current driver’s licence** and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
