**About the Opportunity**
We are looking for an experienced Sales Team Manager to lead and drive our sales team. You will be directly responsible for managing a team of 15 sales people, training and coaching them to exceed weekly and monthly targets, sales forecasting on a weekly and monthly cadence, tracking sales team performance metrics, and reporting data on a regular basis to our Senior Luxury Sales Manager.
We’re looking for someone with demonstrated success driving revenue growth and improving established sales processes. A strong leadership background and a customer centric attitude are must haves for this role. Experience within the luxury market would be an asset.
**A day in the life of a Principal Sales Team Manager at Langtons**
- Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure all sales team members have the required skills to meet the business targets.
- Effectively collaborate and work well with peers, leadership, and direct reports. Foster an inclusive environment for all team members to thrive.
- Work closely with the Senior Luxury Sales Manager to implement the Langton’s Sales Strategy. Monitor and report successes and challenges with recommendations for refinement and future opportunities.
- Analyse sales data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Identify opportunities and potential challenges. Report to Senior Luxury Sales Manager on a weekly basis or as required.
- Identify training and development needs for each direct report and for the team. Co-ordinate the requirements so that each team member has the skills to succeed in their role.
- Build a culture of accountability for performance and actions.
- Facilitate Team Meetings; 1:1 monthly meetings with each direct report to discuss performance per week, month and year. Identify actions required to implement to correct challenges or performance concerns.
- Process Improvement; continuously reiterate on and improve upon sales processes. Utilise your knowledge and experience to make changes that enable better practice and efficiency.
- Sales Forecasts; provide the Trade Planner with support and insight to create accurate forecasts. Assist with the execution of product launches and monitor information.
- Team Culture; encourage a culture of inclusiveness, collaboration and achievement.
**What you’ll need to succeed**:
- 4 years Sales Management experience required.
- Luxury and/or BlueChip environment experience.
- Wine knowledge.
- Role model strong verbal and written communication skills in all interactions.
- Ability to analyse team performance metrics to make data driven decisions coupled with human insights.
