**About the role**

So we can nurture a privacy culture at SBS, maintain our audiences’ trust and comply with privacy laws and regulations'”and comply with our obligations under Freedom of Information legislation'”we are looking for a Privacy and Freedom of Information Advisor.

This role is in the diverse and collaborative Corporate Affairs division. You would be working within the Government and Regulatory Affairs team which also manages engagement with government stakeholders and policy development processes, and SBS’s regulatory obligations, including in relation to privacy and freedom of information.

You would report to the Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs who is SBS’s designated Privacy Officer, and work with SBS’s Privacy Champion, SBS lawyers, and SBS’s Information Security and Business and Information Governance colleagues.

Among other things you would:

- Manage actions set out in SBS’s Privacy Management Plan
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments
- Develop staff communications and education to promote a privacy culture
- Manage Freedom of Information requests

**About you**

A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred. An awareness of, and professional experience with current and emerging data management practices and privacy issues'”including upcoming law reform'”would be an advantage. Experience in change management as it relates to promoting compliance culture through robust systems and processes would also be an advantage
