**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Secretary, we are currently looking for an Executive Director, Transition Office to establish the function and team to lead the governance and coordination of independent reviews and development of transition and policy implementation plans in a highly complex portfolio across the Transport Cluster to contribute to the achievement of NSW Government objectives.

This opportunity is for a 6-month fixed term duration.

**Key Accountabilities include**:

- Create a strong internal governance and program management structure in relation to the establishment, coordination, and monitoring progress of independent reviews across the Transport Cluster.
- Establish the Transition Office and functional accountabilities including effective governance, program and project management frameworks, and a multi-disciplinary and cross-cluster team to underpin effective implementation of plans within agreed timelines and budget, and with achievement of defined outcomes.
- Lead the management of interdependencies and coordination across transport portfolio areas to ensure that information relating to deliverables, risks and issues, and implementation strategies are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
- Act as the primary escalation point for urgent, complex, or highly sensitive issues relating to the functions of the Transition Office, determining appropriate responses and the need for further escalation.
- Lead the design, development and implementation of stakeholder engagement and communication plans and channels to support coordination of independent reviews, transition planning and implementation.

**About You**
- You have significant executive leadership experience and a proven track record of achievement in policy development and implementation and in all aspects of program management including delivery of enterprise-wide transformation and service delivery programs within the Transport industry.
- You have extensive experience in briefing and engaging senior stakeholders at executive/board/ministerial levels in the Transport industry ideally with a focus on infrastructure and service delivery programs.
- You have a proven track record in building effective and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders during periods of complexity and change and driving the delivery of major programs in a complex, politically and commercially sensitive environment.

**Essential Requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
