**The Role**
The SPC-A Business Manager provides complex procedural and operational support to the unit in the area's of HR, finance, travel, position management and workforce management/design.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

- Procurement and contract management
- Budget management including advice to the Director and reporting to Navy Head Quarters
- Oversight and governance of HR functions for both APS and ADF (permanent and reserves)
- Provide support and guidance to SPC-A on travel processes, policy and allowances, both domestic and international.

The successful applicant will be required to provide all these functions on a day to day basis but also increased support for major events, specifically Sea Power Conferences.

**About our Team**
The Sea Power Centre is home to Navy's Sea Power Research, Doctrine and History and Heritage functions. SPC-A is a nationally distributed team, head quartered in Canberra.
SPC-A supports Navy's training and education, international engagement and capability development.

As the SPC-A business manager you will need to be highly motivated individual who is organised and proactive.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written communication skills.
You will need to be able to influence, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders.
