What we're doing

The role sits within The Broker X team reporting to the General Manager of Product, Financial Services.

The BrokerX team is responsible for developing and enhancing broker facing platforms that enable our brokers to be productive and deliver market leading client experiences.

What the role is all about:
As Head of Product, BrokerX you’re responsible for the development of the product strategy and roadmap of Broker facing platforms with the goal of empowering our brokers to operate efficiently and deliver a differentiated customer experience to their clients.

The Head of Product will lead this in the following ways:
- Contribute to the product strategy and vision, translating long-term thinking into a prioritised and executable product roadmap which delivers value to our broker network.- Lead and oversee the development of new platform features from ideation, opportunity assessment, opportunity development/discovery, prioritisation, business case development (including articulating value), iterative delivery, launch and go to market activities.- Build close relationships with key stakeholders including the Franchise Advisory Council, our sales and operations teams to ensure our products meet market and customer needs.- Conduct research on competitors and in relation to our own broker platform with brokers and clients and identify opportunities for improvement.- Maintain a clear view of the prioritisation schedule and interdependencies for all product initiatives within their remit and manage stakeholder expectations- Support sales, marketing and operations with product training, documentation, customer visits (as appropriate), operational queries and performance analysis.- Keep a watchful eye on competitors, market changes, potential partners, developing predictions on how the market is changing and helping define where REA needs to be positioned in the future- Manage key vendor relationship and foster strategic alignment.- Have fun tackling interesting problems with really great people.

What we’re looking for- Someone with a few runs on the board - 10 years’ experience of product management/development- Financial Services, Lending, Mortgage Origination experience is essential- Established leadership posture in the mortgage broking industry, someone that knows and has lived and breathed broker- Strategic thinker - you can analyse and sythesise information on the market and connect the dots to determine an appropriate strategic approach whilst taking a whole of business perspective.- Customer focus - you will be very comfortable being close to customers, understanding their challenges and both their known and unarticulated needs.- Delivery capability - you can get things done, on time, in scope and within budget. You can lead agile tech and delivery teams.- You are an awesome communicator and problem solver - can talk shop with the developers, chat with brokers and pitch a business case to senior executives.- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, collaboration & facilitation skills- Accountability, takes pride in and responsibility for their work (attention to detail)- Experience with collaboration tools including Miro/Trello/JIRA etc
