**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Ampcontrol wants to ensure it capitalises on every strategic opportunity that arises. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager - Innovation & Service, this unique opportunity will lead a team of professionals to drive strategic diversification and growth in our business.
Functions the role performs include:
- Leading the oversight and management of the strategy function for the Ampcontrol Group
- Managing, supervising and developing the Strategy Team capabilities in line with business requirements
- Conducting research and analysis, financial modelling, and preparation of CEO and Board briefings
- Identifying companies for potential mergers and acquisitions
- Leading acquisitions (including due diligence processes)
- Co-ordinate, monitor and report on Group Strategy progress
- Provide cross functional assistance and support for the development, planning and integration of strategic business activities
- Strategic project management support
**ABOUT YOU**:
In addition to your demonstrated capabilities in leading strategy and delivering strategic goals and objectives, you will have:
- Degree (or higher) level qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance and/or another related field
- Extensive experience in the power, energy, resources or infrastructure sectors
- Experience leading and completing in mergers & acquisitions (desirable)
- Exceptionally strong business acumen, supported by excellent leadership capabilities
- A proven ability to deliver outcomes through influencing and engaging stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong research, analysis and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
