The Deco Hotel boasts 210 hotel rooms and apartments with a modern Italian restaurant and bar.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves oversight of the accommodation arrangements for hotel guests ensuring that accommodation at Deco Hotel is managed effectively and efficiently aiming to maximise the hotel’s customer experience.
In this role as Accommodation Manager you will be responsible for
- Management of the hotel accommodation operational activities managing the oversight of guest accommodation and facilities to be in line with operational checklists and product specifications
- Ensure that the hotel front office and housekeeping departments are working effectively together
- Ensure all guest accommodation are serviced daily in line with operational checklists and product specifications
- Conducting random periodic inspections of occupied guest accommodation
- Arranging repairs and maintenance as required
- Feedback and liaison with Housekeeping Supervisor
- Daily liaison with the various Hotel Departments, such as Restaurant and Bar, to ensure their needs have been met and to ensure customers needs have been met
- Updating of collateral as required and dissemination to employees
- Ensuring budgetary targets are met
- Ordering and control of inventory as required
- Oversight of periodic stocktake
- Resolving guest complaints to the guest's satisfaction
- Responding to guest feedback and monthly guest satisfaction ratings, including setting goals for improvement of ratings and communicating these goals to employees
- Creating and maintaining employee schedules/rosters
- Conduct interviews for the recruitment of new employees as appropriate
- Conduct employee performance development reviews as appropriate
- Provide training for employees on operational procedures
- Complying with Hotel Safety & Environment policies, initiatives and legislation

To be successful you will require:
- Diploma level or higher in Hotel Management, Business or Finance
- Significant experience in all aspects of hotel accommodation operations at a supervisory or management level
- Knowledge of effective and efficient hotel management
- Excellent attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to standards
- Highly developed communications, interpersonal and people management skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience in staff training and development

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $63,913.00 per year
