About the role

Our Hotel Receptionist role is a crucial part of the guest experience at Deco Hotel, located in Braddon, ACT. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm, friendly and efficient service from arrival to departure. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to develop your customer service skills and be part of a dynamic hospitality team.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting guests with a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and departure
  • Efficiently checking guests in and out, processing payments and handling inquiries
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any guest concerns
  • Assisting with making reservations, answering phone calls, and responding to email inquiries
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working collaboratively with the hotel team to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Adhering to all hotel policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer service or front office role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a warm and friendly service
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and technology
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to the success of the hotel
