In this newly created role, we are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Sales Manager to join our high performing and award-winning team.
**So, what does the role look like?**
As our Sales Manager - Conference & Events, you will be responsible for bringing our enquiries to life by organising and delivering outstanding events in our dedicated Level 2 function spaces, our Level 8 salons, outside catering, and other venues as directed.
Supporting the wider Sales Team and the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager - Conference & Events will manage the end-to-end event planning process and be the trusted representative throughout the creation and delivery of the event. You will build strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service to ensure an unforgettable experience for our stakeholders.
The Sales Manager C&E will perform both above the line and below the line sales and marketing activities and will work with the DOSM and Sales Manager (Hotel), Sales Manager MICE and digital marketing team. Included in this will be the attendance of relevant trade shows, creating strong and long-lasting relationships with event planners and venue finders.
Your focus will be on driving revenue growth, meeting and exceeding sales targets, and elevating our Events at SkyCity brand presence in the luxury market. You will identify the potential for innovation and growth by considering and implementing new and unique revenue generating opportunities, as well as conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends. You will also collaborate with relevant teams, as well as SkyCity's preferred suppliers and partners to ensure smooth and successful event delivery and logistics, and represent Events at SkyCity at industry events, trade shows and networking functions.
**What you will look like?**
With proven experience and a track record of successful delivery of corporate and social events, you will have a proven ability to develop ongoing and meaningful client relationships which will showcase your tailored and personal approach to meets clients' needs. You will have a strong desire to proactively achieve results and be a strong negotiator and influencer with the ability to upsell, explore alternatives and reach solutions for all parties. You will also possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and be highly efficient with Microsoft Office Suite, customer relationship and event booking software (previous experience with Opera Sales & Catering will he highly preferred).
