What's the role?
We are seeking a driven leader to join our Direct Sales team as a Senior Sales Manager. This role will be crucial for leading our high-performing team of sales agents who help convert loan applicants into funded customers through strategic phone, email and SMS outreach across the application journey. You will also drive performance through data-driven coaching, targeted training programs and optimized multi-channel contact strategies.
Your expertise in sales process optimization, conversion analytics, and performance management will be crucial as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance the customer journey from initial application to successful loan drawdown, directly impacting Plenti's revenue growth and market position in personal and auto lending.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine sales strategies for different customer segments and lending products, optimising approaches for personal loans and car loans.
Lead the optimization of multi-channel contact strategies across phone, email, and SMS to maximize customer engagement and application completion rates.
Lead a sales team leader and agents with daily team huddle and weekly sales meetings to share performance updates, recognise achievements and address collective challenges
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine lead qualification criteria and ensure alignment between customer acquisition and sales conversion activities.
Develop and implement ongoing training initiatives focused on enhancing product knowledge, objection handling, compliance requirements, and conversion techniques.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance against established KPIs, using data analytics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities across the sales team.
Collaborate with credit, product and operation teams to provide feedback on customer pain points and recommend product enhancements based on sales interactions.
Develop and maintain sales dashboards that provide real-time visibility into team performance and conversion metrics.
What else do I need?
You will bring proven experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies within financial services, with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the capability to build effective cross-department relationships and deliver results, will be key to your success in this role.
A minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a fintech, lender or financial services will be beneficial.
