**About this Opportunity**

The Assistant Service Manager ensure the smooth running of services at all sites within their designated portfolio and provides support to the Service Manager and workforce to provide quality services to participants.

This position works closely with participants and their support networks to understand, develop and implement person centred plans aimed to support participants to progress and achieve their goals.

The Assistant Service Manager will report to the Service Manager and is based at our Mayfield office.

**Further tasks required in the role include**
- Contributing to local planning and the development of service offerings/supports in response to participant and market need.
- The preparation of risk assessments and consultation and support to the workforce to mitigate and manage risk.
- Ensure effective rostering including providing consistent participant support schedules, and workers - including appropriate participant/worker matching.
- Providing ongoing feedback, mentoring, and advice and coaching to direct reports, supporting skill and career development, continuous improvement and increased competencies through an effective performance management framework
- Assist with the evaluation of programs and services and ensure participant support plans address participant wellbeing and goal progression
- Ensure people with disability and their families/carers are appropriately supported in areas of life learning, participation, employment and community inclusion
