Join an International Bank with a high performing team and motivating workplace culture. This is an exciting opportunity for a Chief Risk Officer to lead a small, high performing team and drive the uplift of the risk management culture.

**Your new role**
The Chief Risk Officer’s role provides a unique opportunity for a Risk Management professional to take responsibility and accountability for the overall Risk Management of the branch and to act as a Chief Liaison point for regulator communication. With this, responsibilities include:

- Set up and maintain the Branch risk control framework and management procedure.
- Develop, update and implement the policies and procedures of the Branch risk management.
- Develop and implement the annual risk appetite statement and risk management plan/ strategies.
- Carry out the risk identification, measurement, monitoring, assessment and control, and any other risk management tasks according to the annual risk management plan; ensure the Branch risk management is in full compliance with Head Office and Australian regulatory authorities’ requirements and prevent/minimize any significant risk events.
- Overall staff management of department including participating recruitment of key staff of risk management, provide guidance and (risk) training to relevant department heads as needed.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong experience working in Risk Management coupled with local banking operations.
- Experience in people management and leading engaged, high performing teams.
- Strong experience managing the Australian Regulatory bodies, including APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC etc.
- Strong experience working in Senior Leadership positions.
