Engineering Networks is currently partnered with The Mount Isa Water Board looking for their next
**Procurement & Governance Advisor.**

**About Mount Isa Water Board**
The Mount Isa Water Board (MIWB) is responsible for supplying bulk water to industrial customers in Mount Isa, and potable (drinking water) to the Mount Isa City Council. MIWB manages over $174 Million in assets, ranging from water distribution and storage to treatment, quality management and the R48 Reserve (Lake Moondarra).

**The Opportunity**

Join MIWB's Corporate Governance Team as
**Procurement & Governance Advisor.**

Reporting to the General Manager. The role will provide technical and strategic advice to the business to maximise value, efficiency and compliance across the end-to-end procurement and contract management process.

The position will oversee the policies, procedures and systems across procurement and contract management, as well as play a hands-on role in preparing and managing procurement works packages on behalf of business stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role you will**
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, supply chain management or an equivalent discipline that demonstrates strong critical thinking, communication and regulatory compliance skillsets.
- Have a proven track record delivering in procurement, contract management, legal, supply chain, commercial, corporate reporting, finance, accounting or governance role in a highly regulated and/or complex organisation (private or public sector).
- Have strong knowledge of procurement and contract management frameworks, including a detailed understanding of procurement sourcing and selection strategies, common contract types, including building and construction contracts, and supporting internal stakeholders in the development of complex specifications and scopes of work.
- Have proven experience identifying opportunities to improve procurement and contract management activities and managing complex customer and supplier risks and compliance issues as well as managing supplier performance
- Enjoy driving change autonomously as well as working in a collaborative business environment
- You are currently residing in Mount Isa or are willing to relocate if successful in the appointment to the role (relocation support is negotiable for those relocating outside of North West Queensland).
- Prior experience in Civil, Construction or Engineering specifications is highly regarded
- Insights or experience into Queensland government Procurement Policy highly regarded
- Successful Applications will be required to undertake National Police Check
