**Role Description/Criteria**

Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers to join our vibrant learning community in the role of Classroom Teacher. We have a vacancies in Foundation, Year 3 and Year 6.

**This position requires that you have the capacity to**:

- to nurture the faith of all in our community, actively supporting our Catholic school vision;
- engage in the ongoing development of the school as an inclusive Catholic community;

- create effective teaching and learning experiences that are purposeful, engaging and meaningful so that children's learning and wellbeing are optimised;
- design and implement differentiated teaching strategies that are responsive to the assessed learning strengths and needs of the child;
- engage with colleagues in a cycle of continuous inquiry and learning about effective teaching practice.
- develop respectful, learning-centred relationships with children and their families;
- communicate effectively with children, colleagues, parents/carers and community members;
- participate in the broader life of the school including the Sacramental program, camps and community events; and
- behave professionally and ethically in all forums.

**To be considered for this position you must**:

- have an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.
- either have, be undertaking, or intend to undertake accreditation to teach Religious Education;
- be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care; and
- have appropriate registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
