MinRes is currently seeking a **Media Manager** to join our Corporate Affairs Division, working with our Communications Department, based in our Head Office in Osborne Park. Reporting to the EGM Corporate Affairs the Media Manager is responsible for building a positive presence in the media while protecting and enhancing reputation by developing effective media strategies and plans, identifying media opportunities, managing media response and spokesperson preparation, and preparing key media communications.

**Key Responsibilities include;**
- Developing group-wide media strategies and plans, both reactive and proactive
- Proactively identify opportunities to positively position the organisation in media
- Brief in media stories and prepare spokespeople for media interviews
- Develop key communication materials and content including ASX releases, media releases, messaging, Q&As, opinion pieces, social media posts, blogs and internal stories
- Support the development of key communications materials and speeches including the annual report and AGM speeches
- Assist in the management of the organisation's media response - ensuring there is a capability to respond to media requests 24/7
- Provide strategic counsel to the Executive Team, EGM Corporate Affairs and GM Communications regarding media engagement
- Develop strong and enduring relationships with key media outlets and journalists
- Manage the media database, monitoring, tracking and media spokesperson training

**Role Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in either Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- 10+ years in journalism, corporate communications, or media relations
- Excellent understanding of the political, business and media landscape, and strong existing relationships in key media
- Strong stakeholder management skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience as a journalist, editor, or producer, including writing for key media outlets, or broad writing experience in communications for a listed entity well regarded
- Experience developing and executing strategic media or communications plans
- Experience in the resources industry highly regarded
