About Us
Parklands Christian College is seeking a Secondary Visual Art Teacher position within the College – for a one-year contract, possibility of ongoing (0.8/ 1.0 FTE – See position description for more details.) . We welcome applications for a Term 1, 2026 commencement.
Parklands Christian College is a growing school located on 44 acres of land on the southern corridor from Brisbane to Beaudesert at Park Ridge, Logan, QLD. We are a Christian, co-educational school of nearing 1000 students (P-12), along with our Early Learning Centre and Outside School Hours Care facilities, and an established set of values that permeate everything to which we aspire. About the Role
As a member of the Secondary Teaching team, you will be responsible for:
– Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
– Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
– Implementing effective, adaptive, inclusive and equitable practices and teaching strategies
– Proactively and collaboratively engaging in professional renewal practices to enhance student outcomes
– Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school
– Providing effective supervision of students and contribute to the health and safety of the workplace.
About YOU
To be successful, you will have:
– QCT Registration (or eligibility).
– An active Christian faith.
– Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with our teaching team.
– Effective problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
– Excellent skills in regards to lesson planning, including objectives, and assessments.
– Ability to evaluate student work, providing quality written and verbal feedback.
