To support Mercy Community, we are currently seeking an Internal Audit and Compliance to join our innovative and progressive team based in Nudgee. This role will be instrumental in facilitating and delivering independent review and assurance activities and assisting management of organisational compliance.

**The Role -**

Reporting to the Practice Risk and Quality Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

- Leading internal audits as well as delivering targeted, ongoing assurance over key risk areas.
- Developing and facilitating the Assurance Schedule.
- Identifying compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation and conducting internal investigations, as required.
- Presenting audit findings to senior management and assurance related reporting to Executives and subcommittees as required.
- Assisting with the monitoring of compliance with policy, procedures, work instructions, and other organisational and legislative requirements.
- Working with management to identify improvement opportunities and monitor progress.
- Assisting the Clinical Quality and Risk Managers to plan and implement new innovative approaches to quality management, measurement and monitoring.
- Supporting program delivery staff and operational management to undertake effective quality management by coordinating and monitoring assurance activities.

**About You -**

To be successful in the role you will
- Ideally possess tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Business, Human Services, or Internal Audit.
- Lead Auditor or Internal Audit qualifications will be looked upon favourably.
- You will also need previous experience in a compliance and/or auditing role, along with demonstrated knowledge of standards and regulations within the community services sector including aged care, disability services and/or child protection.
- You will have strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have well-developed reporting and data analysis skills.
