Is a large Federal Government department based in inner Brisbane
**Your new role**
As a Change Communication coordinator, you will be responsible for stakeholder coordination and the delivery of strategic change communication and engagement plans. The Change Communication Coordinator will be expert in communication strategies to engage stakeholders, and in managing project and change communication.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and executing effective communication and engagement plans to support staff engagement for change initiatives across the business and the broader organisation.
- Creating and executing consultation programs to consult with internal and external stakeholders. Liaise across several different business groups and the Stream Leads within the Program.
- Managing the development of client facing, strategic change communication deliverables
- Contributing to change management plans and activities in support of change.
- Designing, developing and delivering high quality communications for targeted audiences using appropriate media, such as corporate announcements, discussion packs, FAQ’s and talking points
- Successfully manage risks and issues, implementing mitigating activities as appropriate, and escalating where required
- Developing communication messaging, tools and collateral to engage and positively influence internal business stakeholders, employees and external stakeholders
- Writing, editing and distributing communications materials associated with the change communication and engagement plan. Expertise in SharePoint (O365) and exceptional PowerPoint skills are required.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience working on large scale, complex, global change and transformation projects and/or technology implementations in a sector or across a range of sectors
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic communications and stakeholder engagement plans
- Good understanding of communication and engagement trends, emerging practices, digital communications, and an ability to promote innovative ideas and solutions in change communication
- Excellent communication skills - ability to present formal / informal findings in a clearly defined and persuasive manner. The ability to write with clarity, and conviction.
- Ability to manage people, team and workstreams, with good project management skills and a proven ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a demanding work environment
- MS office skills, expert in PowerPoint and Excel, good understanding of the latest digital communication trends and tools
- Experience in Industrial Relations would be highly regarded but is not essential
