Their industry specific training and certification programs are designed to lift and enhance Employment Practices across the entire Australian horticulture industry, with a keen focus on actively reducing the risk of worker exploitation whilst providing a solid and robust framework for industry employers.
Your Role
As the Communications Coordinator, you will be critical in executing and delivering internal and external communication strategies to support maximum uptake, build brand recognition and ensure integrity for all correspondences related to the program.
Reporting to the National Program Manager, you will play a key role in successfully delivering the integral training and certification programs across the Australian Horticulture sector. Creative and autonomous, you will have the freedom to make your mark on this well-established and close-knit team.
Further to the above, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Create and execute a strategic communications plan
Website management
Create graphics for social media, print publications, etc.
Write, edit and distribute content, including press releases, newsletters and speeches
Manage events such as workshops, conferences and webinars
Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists and maintain media database
Manage media schedules for print and digital to ensure delivery in a timely manner
About You
You are an enthusiastic and naturally creative writer, and a strong energetic communicator who has a passion for food and an affinity for Australian Produce
To be considered for the role, it is important that you can address the following:
Degree/Qualification in Journalism, Communications, Media, or related field with subsequent relevant work experience
Graduates are welcome to apply
Graphic design using Canva, Adobe InDesign or similar
Advanced written and interpersonal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities
Experience or knowledge of the agricultural sector is desirable
Clean and current unrestricted C Class Drivers' License
