**About the Department for Correctional Services**
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. **Duties**
The Business Coordinator is accountable to the Principal Integrity Officer, Office for Correctional Services Review (OCSR) and is responsible for coordinating and monitoring a range of activities and support services that contribute to the operations of the OCSR.
The Business Coordinator will establish administrative processes to strengthen governance, including researching, and drafting of documentation and correspondence such as briefings, policies, communications, meeting agenda and minutes, reports, submissions and determinations. The position will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and oversight agencies.
**Special Conditions**
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check.
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.
- A flexible approach to working hours is required.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
**Requirements**:
Essential: Nil
Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications in criminology, justice, legal, project management or related field. Completion of State Records (SA) FOI Training (modules 1-4).
**Remuneration**
ASO5 ($85,790 - $95,413pa)
