**The Position**

**St John of God Subiaco Hospital **is a world-class private hospital offering the highest quality medical and surgical care in a warm and welcoming environment. Many of Perth’s leading specialist physicians and surgeons practice at our 578 bed hospital, allowing our patients access to a comprehensive range of services. Our hospital is located in the heart of Subiaco close to stylish cafes, boutiques and with easy access to the train station.

- This role is on a Permanent Full time basis, working 76 hours a fortnight.

- Possession of a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Ability to develop relationships with senior leaders, other OHS professionals to create/influence OHS-related policy, objectives and strategy and act as a change agent to support improvement in OHS.
- Detailed technical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of OHS concepts, contemporary WHS legislation and practice including experience in risk management and investigations.
- Uses communication and engagement skills, including negotiation and conflict management skills to initiate, promote and support change.
- Interact with and influence leaders, caregivers and other stakeholders including building relationships as a basis of influence with a focus on empowerment of others rather than control.
- Interprets and tailors information to communicate knowledge and ideas to a range of audiences using appropriate communication strategies and formats.
