**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Fresh Start seeks a passionate and dedicated AOD Support Worker to join its York Street Lodge team. This is a **FULL-TIME role with an IMMEDIATE START.** You'll primarily manage the lodge and Fresh Start's metropolitan residential facilities, ensuring client well-being and successful recovery outcomes.
- This role will report to the Housing Facility Manager._

**The key responsibilities are**:

- **Client Support & Empowerment**: Personal care and emotional support empower clients to make informed decisions and monitor their well-being.
- **Facility Management & Safety**: Oversee daily facility operations, enforce house rules, and maintain a safe environment compliant with OH&S standards.
- **Administrative & Operational Duties**: Manage client records, admin tasks, medication, and client transportation.
- **Relationship Building & Professional Development**: Foster strong relationships with staff, management, and external agencies.

**ABOUT YOU**

**Ideal Skills**

**Have**:

- Experience working in mental health, recovery centres, or related areas.
- Driver’s License.
- First-aid Certificate.
- Passionate about helping people with addiction
- Respect for confidentiality.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Understanding & non-judgemental attitude towards people with drug use and mental health problems, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and the Aboriginal community.
- Willingness to support Fresh Start’s Christian approach and programmes.

**Ability to**:

- Work independently and as part of a team while being proactive and showing initiative.
- Portray positive behaviours, emotional maturity, positive coping skills and resilience.
- Ability to demonstrate professional boundaries.
