**In this role you will**:

- Maintain extensive knowledge of high-level information on operational issues across the Parole Board Queensland and Secretariat, particularly within Queensland Corrective Services.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder networks and lines of communication with key personnel for the provision of information and advice to the Chief Administrative Officer.
- Develop and maintain key data sources and registers to enable provision of high-level and immediate responses on the status of departmental commitments and initiatives.
- Use departmental information systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met.
- Work closely with support services to analyze incoming and outgoing correspondence in order to brief the relevant Senior Executives on the content and of any strategic risks of note.
- Work closely with other internal and external stakeholders for the provision of effective corporate support to the Parole Board and Secretariat.
- Maintain knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures and contemporary management practices relevant to Parole Board operations.
- Undertake projects and strategic initiatives at the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, Parole Board Queensland Secretariat.
- Draft comprehensive responses to incoming correspondence on behalf of the Chief Administrative Officer, PBQS as well as all-staff broadcasts as required.
- Draft briefing notes on behalf of the Chief Administrative Officer, PBQS as required.
- During the annual process for Budget Estimates preparations, participate in strategic planning activities with other executive support personnel including the Principal Advisor, Estimates, the Senior Departmental Liaison Officer and other Staff Officers.
- At the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, PBQS undertake other duties as required to ensure the effective operation of the Parole Board Queensland Secretariat and/or other business units.
- Contribute to the reduction of risk through active participation in business continuity planning, risk registers, and business plans for the Parole Board Queensland Secretariat

The position does not have mandatory qualifications, however, tertiary qualifications in a correctional practice/administration and/criminal justice is highly desirable.
