**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE**:

- Provide technical support to the Gates external Fluid Power customers, internal Customer Service staff and field Sales team
- Make technical recommendations using design manuals and software.
- Assist in writing and issuing technical material, including product training modules and presentations for use of Gates customers.
- Troubleshooting and handling general technical inquiries
- Handle quality issues for the industrial aftermarket, specifically for Fluid Power
- Provide quotations and product information to internal and external customers on made-to-order and non-standard items

**Keys to Success**:

- An excellent ability to listen, understand and deliver on internal/external stakeholder needs and requirements
- Computer skill in Microsoft software essential
- Presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and stay driven & focused

**Requirements and Preferred Skills**:

- At least 2-3 years of technical experience in a similar capacity to this advertised position.
- A formal qualification in Engineering is preferred
- Knowledge of Industrial Fluid Power Industry is a huge advantage
- Knowledge of quality issue handling and an understanding of price quoting, sales and marketing, and customer service
- Knowledge of safety legislation and contemporary practice
