Technical Product Specialist

**Responsibilities**:

- **Product Testing and Compliance** - Support the product team by identifying and testing product performance against relevant criteria, standards, codes, industry prpractice internal guidelines. Seek regulatory & product compliance advice, supported by external testing labs where required.
- ** Competitor Benchmarking** - Test competitor and ITW products to compare functionality and performance against each other and relevant industry standards. Share the results and provide input into the development of differentiated value propositions for the Consumer product range.
- ** Product Specifications** - Manage specification changes to existing products and maintain product master data to support marketing, product development and cost saving initiatives. Review marketing related content to ensure product information is easily and accurately represented.
- ** Product Performance** - Investigate product performance issues as required. Prepare recommendations on resolution and any changes required to product specifications to resolve and improve performance.
- ** New Product Development** - Support the design, development & delivery of the new product pipeline by managing product specifications and coordinating product testing, benchmarking, and compliance.
- ** Packaging Development** **and Testing** - contribute to the development of sustainable and innovative packaging by testing fit for purpose use in line with relevant codes, standards, and covenants.
- ** Simplification** - use data and product knowledge to support product and packaging simplification processes and projects for the Consumer business.

**To be successful in this position you will have**:

- Interpreting related Codes, Standards, Regulations, and Legislation
- Demonstrated Stakeholder Management, Project Management and Change Management skills
- Application of testing methodologies
- Technical writing
- Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities;
- Analysis and use of data to support testing and simplification decisions
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
