A little bit about the role
The Infringement Review Officer provides a vital role within the team offering the public an independent second look at any notices they may have been issued.
Reporting to the Team Leader Infringement Review, the role will be responsible for:
Timely and accurate assessments of any infringements issued.
Using all available data from officers, the Infringements Act (2006) and policies to produce legally sound decisions.
Providing clear, professional and polite communication to all stakeholders that explains decisions in a clear, informative manner and working to short timelines.
Maintain up-to-date data in Council systems and general handling of sensitive information.
Being part of a team and driving continuous improvement.

If attention to detail and data driven outcomes are your thing, this could be the role for you. With a constant view of keeping the customer at the centre of everything we do, you will have:
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in an administration and customer service role including answering telephone enquiries, preparing correspondence and assessments of infringement reviews (preferred but not essential).
The ability to effectively communicate with customers in a respectful and professional manner, to convey information, being assertive and resilient where required with the ability to de-escalate conflict situations.
The ability to set and maintain a high standard of output, knowledge of Microsoft Office and time management skills.
The ability to independently manage repetitive tasks and a backlog of work.
A sound knowledge or ability to gain the knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations and laws relating infringements. Expert knowledge is not essential and training is provided.
Attributes to work in a team and actively participate in events, workshops and training.
An appetite for continuous improvement.
