Kosta’s is growing From humble beginnings - launching our first store in Rockdale in 2021, and now with a store in Circular Quay and Rosebery with a soon to be 4th in the CBD. Our commitment to excellence has helped us grow, and we are now seeking a dedicated and organised Area Manager to support our Director and help manage our expanding operations.

**Position Overview**:
The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Kosta's Takeaway. This role requires a dynamic and proactive individual who can manage staff, maintain excellent customer service standards, and ensure the overall efficiency and profitability of the venue.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operational Management**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the takeaway venue.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed

**Staff Management**:

- Recruit (onboard and offboard), train, and supervise FOH members to ensure they deliver consistent high-quality service
- Schedule shifts and manage staff rosters.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and support.

**Customer Service**:

- Maintain high standards of customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

**Financial Management**:

- Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and revenue.
- Analyse financial reports to identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvement.
- Ensure cash handling procedures are followed accurately.

**Marketing and Promotions**:

- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns.
- Propose, plan and organise events and special promotions to attract and retain customers.

**Venue Maintenance**:

- Ensure the venue is clean, well-maintained, and presents a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate and coordinate with individual stores to build a detailed and structured process to ensure stores are clean and presentable

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Area Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar role in the food service industry (deal breaker).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on staff culture, recruitment and training and rostering.
- Maintenance of staffing levels, appropriate to limiting costs but ensuring excellence in service standards are not compromised
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Resolution of guest service issues in regards to service and food quality, ensuring we utilise the opportunity for recovery as a way of leaving a lasting and positive impression
- Ability to assist and manage budgets and financial reports.
- Stock control and ordering procedures.
- Creating practices and procedures to improve service excellence and operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Proficiency in using management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 38 per week
