As a contractor to the Australian Federal and NSW governments, Parklife Metro is leading a transformative metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport.

The Parklife Metro (PLM) consortium made up of Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild is delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) package of works for the Sydney Metro-Western Sydney Airport (SM-WSA) project.

RDWSA will proudly operate and maintain 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills on the Western Sydney Airport metro line for 15 years after the line has become operational.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Learning and Competency Manager, this role will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our training, competency, and induction programs, ensuring alignment with RDWSA’s Learning & Competency Framework. Yor day to day will vary through the project and responsibilities may include:
**Operational Readiness Activities**:

- Customising and developing training and assessment materials in line with RDWSA standards and RTO requirements.
- Localising global RATP Dev training content to meet project needs.
- Creating online training materials to support readiness activities.
- Reviewing and tailoring training materials to align with the D&C Systems Training Management Plan.
- Collaborating with Business Leads to plan and facilitate training for Operations, Customer Experience, and Asset Management teams.

**Support Testing and Commissioning & Operational Readiness**:

- Ensuring compliance training is completed before project handover.
- Developing induction programs for external stakeholders and managing their records.
- Implementing verification of competency processes for stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
- Designing and delivering ad-hoc training materials as project needs evolve.

**Operations and Maintenance**:

- Building strong relationships with RDWSA, OpCo, Sydney Metro, Siemens, WeBuild, TfNSW, and other partners.
- Managing partnerships with training providers and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
- Supporting the RDWSA Competency Management Plan, including recertification processes.
- Maintaining and auditing training records in the RIW System and Learn&Dev platforms.
- Overseeing reporting systems and providing regular training statistics to leadership.
- Identifying emerging training trends and recommending improvements.
- Conducting operational audits to ensure training compliance and relevance.
- Managing training facilities, ensuring all equipment and spaces are fit for purpose.

**About you**:
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable **Training Officer** who will leverage their expertise in training and competency management within regulated industries to ensure compliance and operational readiness.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- At least 5 years of experience in a training/learning role within a highly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of National Rail Safety Law, Work Health & Safety Legislation, and Standards.
- Knowledge of ASQA Standards for RTOs (2015) and National Standards for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers.
- Proven experience in project-based training and competency management.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (mandatory).
- Certificate IV in Management/Leadership (desirable).
- Lead Auditor qualifications (desirable).
- Safety Tertiary qualifications (desirable).
- A valid Driver's Licence.
