The Role
Embark on an exciting journey as an Open Cut Geologist within the dynamic Technical Services team at Tritton Copper as we venture into our Open Cut Operation. As a pivotal member, you will collaborate closely with the Mine Geology Superintendent and Senior Open Cut Geologist, contributing your expertise to gather, analyze, and present geological and geotechnical data with precision and safety as top priorities. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

- Assist with the development and implementation of procedures pertaining to Open Cut geological activities.
- Undertake production duties to facilitate the optimal production and extraction of ore from the surface mining operations. This includes interaction with the geological team to ensure the accurate sampling, interpretation, communication, and documentation of geological and mining data in the dynamic mining environment
- Undertake all facets of grade control.
- Conduct highwall mapping, drillhole interpretation and geological modelling.
- Collection and management of samples.
- Ore body definition and in pit mapping.
- Timely management of drilling programs including target generation, drill program design, implementation, and data management.
- Development of 3D geological models and resource estimations to improve the geological understanding and for accurate grade control definition pre-mining.
- Supervise drilling programs.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology/Geoscience.
- Well-practised in QAQC and grade control procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of open cut mining methods in a hardrock/ precious metals environment.
- Able to undertake day to day reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with procedural development and implementation.
- Previous open cut experience essential.
