An international coal mining house is seeking a permanent Open Cut Examiner/Supervisor

**Your new company**

This forward-thinking organisation which dominates the mining industry on an international scale, specialises in a range of commodities and services. They require an experienced Open Cut Examiner (OCE) to join one of their largest surface thermal coal sites based in the southern Bowen Basin.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Mining Superintendent you will be responsible for:

- The health & safety of all persons and equipment in and around the mining operation (crew size 100+)
- Ensuring compliance with the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) through hazard identification and risk management, emergency control and management by completing safety inspections of surface excavation works and other legislative requirements
- Demonstrating visible leadership by guiding the Mining team to achieve KPIs
- Displaying a strong commitment to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities and supervision of an efficient production team.
- Responsible for the production and productivity outputs to meet targets and ensure the mining schedules are followed.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Technical Services, to develop and execute mine plans and schedules, and the Maintenance team to effectively manage the assets to achieve or exceed budget utilisation.

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be successful you will be an experienced Open Cut Examiner/Supervisor, with demonstrated experience in the safe oversight of large scale coal mines.
- Advanced/Diploma in Surface Coal Mining Management
- Open Cut Examiners Qualification
- GRM1 and GRM2
