- MEC Mining is a mining engineering consultancy, that provides integrated, geological, engineering services. Our clients range from private groups to ASX-listed companies throughout Australia.
- We are currently seeking geologists for a number of upcoming roles to be based out of Brisbane.**Job tasks and responsibilities**:
We are looking for geologists to join our team on a full-time basis. Our clients operate all across the country, and you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of projects and develop your skills.
- The Responsibilities:
- Monitoring reconciliations between predicted and actual grade and tonnes
- Providing accurate ore delineation and grade estimations
- Short to medium-term planning.
- Maintaining QAQC standards for geological data collection
- Ensuring the accurate tracking of ore from mine to ROM
- Supervision of mining operators and contractors

**Skills and experience**:

- Bachelor of Science in Geological Science/Earth Science or equivalent (Geology)
- Demonstrated open-cut mine geology experience (1-2 years)
- Current WA "C Class" Driver’s License
- Experience with geological data collection with accuracy and ability to interpret the findings
- Proficiency in Vulcan and Excel preferred
