In this newly created role, reporting to the General Manager Marketing, Membership and Digital, you will be responsible for RACQ’s marketing, advertising, and media strategy across the group.
In the fast-evolving landscapes of roadside assistance, insurance, and banking marketing, you will contribute to, and shape transformative changes driven by technological, regulatory, competitive and consumer behavioural shifts.
**Key Responsibilities**

- Agency (Media, Creative and Activation) partner relationship management and negotiation.

- Enable and provide key support to develop RACQs marketing and brand strategy designed to deepen our relationship with members and build demand to achieve our business objectives and key performance measures.
- Lead the delivery of the group-wide campaign and media approach to support brand and our diverse products and services in market.
- Driven by a deep understanding of RACQ’s brand and various customer segments and committed to leading your team to produce market leading campaigns to drive awareness and consideration.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing and Membership, Strategy and Culture, Member Engagement, Finance, Technology, and Analytics on programs of work to develop, test and implement relevant member experiences that deliver marketing results.
- Lead a team responsible for the planning and implementation of end-to-end multi-channel marketing campaigns to ensure data/insights-driven and member-centric results for the insurance, bank, and assistance businesses.
People
- Lead and inspire a highly effective and motivated team to execute marketing campaigns that deliver business results within scope and timelines.
- Provide effective staff management, mentoring, coaching, training, and career development planning and guidance to direct and in-direct reports across the team.
- Lead the engagement with relevant group functions for the Marketing and Membership division to form a dep understanding of their business goals, priorities, and roadmap, connecting them with the relevant teams with Marketing and Membership to help them to achieve their objectives.
- Manage day to day relationship with our Advertising and Media Agencies.
Process
- Conduct ongoing brand, competitor, and advertising analysis.
- Manage brand approvals, brand guidelines, RACQ’s external communication and marketing approval framework and relevant regulatory compliance obligations.
- Actively manage the RACQ brand architecture and guidelines including positioning, creative platforms, brand integrations and brand assets.
- Develop and manage RACQ sponsorship marketing strategy to drive commercial outcomes.
- Lead the team to maintain an efficient and effective work practice; compliance with approved Group policies, procedures, and industry regulations; alignment with key business departments including Legal, Compliance, Distribution, Analytics, Advocacy and Product teams.
- Responsible for the management of our group wide marketing budget to ensure effective spend, forecasting and reconciled monthly.

You bring (Essential):
- A university degree in a relevant study area.
- 10+ years relevant experience.
- Considerable experience in Brand Management, Marketing Strategy, Campaign Management, and marketing production environment.
- Strong currency with marketing strategy, trends, and industry knowledge.
- Demonstrated people leadership and marketing team management
- The ability to connect with people, influencing and partnering authentically and persuasively with leaders and colleagues to identify solutions and change behaviour.
- The curiosity to seek out external best practices and trends to remain dynamic and progressive in thinking and approach.
- Experience embedding brand across the organisation, providing advice, guidance, and leadership on brand as a strategic enabler.
