**This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, values driven executive with strong procurement expertise.**

This organisation plays an integral part to improve the patient experience for rural South Australia by building a collaborative and responsive health care system. With a key focus on Population Health, Mental Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs and Suicide Prevention, the organisation is committed to bridging the gap of health inequity and access in rural SA by serving as a transparent provider and facilitator with highest ethical standards.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Manager - Commissioning is responsible for leading and managing best practice contract management principles to deliver the best possible health benefits for rural SA through a rigorous commissioning and contracting process. Leading a team of 10 direct reports, you will build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the organisation and with suppliers to formulate and drive contract performance and improvement initiatives, whilst resolving issues that arise during the life of the contract to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will also implement the strategic imperatives of the PHN to deliver high performance and outcomes aligned to the program’s performance and quality framework.

A pragmatic, strategic and transformational leader, you will have a relevant qualification and/or experience in health, project management, procurement and contract management at an executive level. With proven experience in implementing strategies for excellence in a complex and contemporary commissioning and contract improvement initiatives, you will have an eye and ability to turn data into actionable insights. Highly developed communication skills with a focus on negotiation and organisational attributes with strong interpersonal skills, is essential in this role.
