**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Human Resource Generalist to join the People & Culture Division in supporting staff and managers throughout the employee lifecycle. They support the Agency to provide a safe workplace for staff, to build their capability and foster a positive and inclusive culture.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS6 level role paying an hourly rate of $60.26 + Superannuation, to be based out of our client's **Richmond or Geelong** location.

**About the role**

The APS6 People Support Manager role is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team.

Responsibilities will include
- Managing, resolving and responding to a range of employee issues and enquiries in line with the Agency Enterprise Agreement (EA), work practices and relevant legislation including remuneration aspects
- Providing advice and support on a range of P&C functions, including performance, systems and processes in the context of policies and legislation, investigating and resolving escalated P&C matters
- Managing and delivering identified P&C Projects
- Providing P&C support to senior business leaders, managers and employees on the impact of work practice changes
- Working collaboratively with the wider division to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and to build understanding of business needs
- Providing analysis of reports regularly on a range of P&C metrics, activities and processes
- Participating in national P&C Communities of Practice meetings and activities

**About you**
- ** Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position**:

- Extensive experience (5 years+) in Human Resources (HR) discipline
- Case management skills
- HR Generalist experience in multiple areas of HR, including performance management and/or behaviour and misconduct
