**Lead and Innovate as our Insurance Claims Manager at HESTA**

Are you ready to lead and innovate in the world of insurance claims? HESTA is seeking a skilled Insurance Claims Manager to drive excellence in managing superannuation death, terminal illness, permanent incapacity (TPD), and income protection claims.

**What You'll Do**:

- **Lead the Claims Process**:Oversee the end-to-end claims journeys, including those performed by Service Providers, including insurer and administrator -notification, assessment, investigation, decision-making, and payment. Monitor adherence across services to HESTA policies, frameworks, processes, business rules and contracts and ensure seamless collaboration with third-party partners to deliver optimal servicing outcomes.
- **Team Leadership**:Mentor and guide a team of claims professionals. Foster their growth through ongoing development and support through complex matters. Introduce and maintain ways of working frameworks..
- **Enhance Member Service**:Monitor and improve claims service quality provided by HESTA and its third-party partners (insurer(s) and administrator(s)). Develop and implement optimisation initiatives to enhance member satisfaction and where required develop and lead remedial activities to address any issues.
- **Optimize Processes**:Analyze performance data and trends to recommend and implement process improvements. Work closely with internal stakeholders to refine claims processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational controls are in place and robust to allow the Trustee to meet its obligations. Oversee the accuracy of disclosures, including APRA annual reporting and Product Disclosure Statements. Ensure compliance with superannuation and insurance legislation.
- **Strategic Oversight**:Manage the panel tasked with reviewing any claims declined by the insurer(s), oversee business rules and claims correspondence, and contribute to risk management and executive reporting.

**What We're Looking For**:

- **Qualifications**:Tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a relevant field. RG 146 compliance required.
- **Experience**:Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in insurance claims management. Deep understanding of superannuation and insurance legislation, industry standards, and claims processes.
- **Skills**:Proven ability to lead teams, manage third-party relationships, and drive process improvements. Strong analytical skills and experience with regulatory compliance.
