The Sales Manager will assist the GM -Sales & Operations in the effective and efficient running of the daily operations of the business. To create sales and GP through effective management of sale team members and business operations.
**Key responsibilities will include but not limited to**:
- Maintain a strong focus on the business and understand the sales trends and sales forecasts.
- Motivate, encourage and lead the sales team members to provide excellence in customer service and achieving sales and gross profit targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Provide clear communication and consistent, constructive feedback on a monthly basis to all team members.
- Reinforce the selling skills and customer service programmes to ensure effective follow through.
- Ensure each location is sufficiently staffed at all times to maximise our sales opportunities.
- Authorise discounts in line with company policy and guidelines.
- Maintain a very high standard of store presentation, including visual merchandising and stock levels by encouraging the practise of good housekeeping according to Lotte standards.
- Ensure all customer service and follow-up service requirements including, customer complaints, refunds, credits and repairs are handled to the customer’s satisfaction in a most urgent and timely manner.
- Supervise the punctual opening of each location (following security procedures), and ensure that staff are ready for work. Close each store following security procedures.
- Be aware of competitor activity, including other duty free outlets and domestic stores, and put forward suggestions on ways to better grow our business.
- Be aware of Airport security emergency and health and safety procedures and ensure full and complete compliance by all team members.
- Be personally presented in accordance with Lotte Duty Free Dress Code Policy at all times and ensure all team members are the same.

**WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR?**
**Essential**:
- Demonstrable successful track record in fast paced retail operations with at least 2 years in a managerial position in a multimillion turnover business.
- Good business sense with good understanding of the business dynamics
- Experience of coaching/training people
- Ability to motivate all staff, at all levels of performance
- Highly skilled team leader who leads from the front
- Ability to be a role model for staff
- Experience of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong knowledge/experience of retail operations
- Must be flexible with regards to working hours
- Must be proactive, hands on and have a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to manage various competing priorities and ability to assess and resolve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to work well and effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently when required
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
- Willing to undertake and pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) online course
**Desirable**:
- Knowledge/experience of international brands and diverse categories of products
- Have a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and Approved Manager status
- Experience of working in a 24/7 retail operation
