**Hourly Rate**: $45 per hour plus 12% Superannuation

**Your Way Disability SA (YWDSA)** is a leading provider of disability support services in South Australia, committed to delivering exceptional, person-cantered care to people living with disabilities. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated **Human Resources Officer** to join our team at the Morphett Vale office.

This is a part-time position (15 hours per week) offering a competitive rate of **$45 per hour** plus **12% superannuation**. As an integral part of our team, you will help ensure the efficient and compliant management of all HR activities, contributing to the overall success of YWDSA's mission to provide high-quality services to our participants.

**Key Responsibilities**

As the Human Resources Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR functions of YWDSA, including but not limited to:
**Employee Contracts & Onboarding**
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing employee contracts.
- Overseeing the onboarding process, including new hire documentation, inductions, and training.
- Ensuring all HR documentation complies with relevant employment law and YWDSA policies.

**HR Policies & Compliance**
- Maintaining and updating HR policies, ensuring alignment with Fair Work and NDIS standards.
- Providing support in the implementation and communication of workplace policies.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace laws, including pay, leave, and benefits.
- Assisting in audits to ensure YWDSA remains compliant with employment regulations.

**Employee Relations & Disciplinary Matters**
- Providing guidance and support to managers on employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
- Managing and investigating workplace complaints and disciplinary issues.
- Providing advice on performance management and coaching managers to handle challenging situations.

**Awards & Pay**
- Ensuring employee pay is accurate, in accordance with applicable awards and agreements.
- Monitoring and ensuring pay compliance, including overtime, allowances, and penalties.
- Liaising with external payroll providers to ensure proper payment of wages and entitlements.

**Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)**
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring that safety procedures are followed.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of workplace health and safety policies.
- Supporting management in compliance with WHS legislation, including training staff on safety standards.
- Monitoring accident reports and ensuring proper reporting and follow-up.

**WorkCover & Employee Benefits**
- Administering the WorkCover process, from initial reporting to claims management and return-to-work programs.
- Assisting with the management of employee benefits, including superannuation and leave entitlements.

**Management Support**
- Providing HR support and advice to management on staffing, employee development, and compliance issues.
- Assisting in workforce planning and supporting recruitment processes.
- Offering ongoing advice on employee wellbeing and retention strategies.

**Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & Staff Support**
- Promoting and supporting the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for staff, ensuring access to mental health support and counselling services.
- Providing staff with resources and support in managing work-life balance, stress, and any personal challenges affecting their work.
- Regularly communicating the availability of EAP services to staff and encouraging the use of support when needed.
- Offering confidential guidance to employees requiring assistance, ensuring they have access to the support and resources they need.

**Qualifications & Experience Required**
- **Minimum Qualification**: Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: At least 2 years of experience in HR management, preferably within the disability or community services sector.
- **NDIS Knowledge**: A strong understanding of the NDIS framework and experience working within the disability sector is highly advantageous.
- **Employment Law Knowledge**: A solid understanding of Fair Work Australia, WHS legislation, and other relevant employment laws.
- **Workplace Health & Safety**: Experience in conducting risk assessments, implementing WHS policies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- **Disciplinary & Performance Management**: Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues, performance management, and workplace conflict resolution.
- **Strong Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management at all levels.
- **Organisational Skills**: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks within set deadlines.
