This position will work within the Paediatric Behavioural Triage Clinic (PBTC) team and be responsible for providing culturally sensitive care navigation utilising lived experience to children (5-12 years of age) who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to facilitate access to appropriate services across the Central Coast. This position will assist the delivery of 'service navigation' support to consumers and young people their parents/carers with mental health issues, and their parents/ carers.
This position will enhance engagement and access to the PBTC and involves liaising with patients, family members and carers in supporting and referring them to suitable services. This may be via telephone, telehealth where available, and in hospital and/or community settings. This position will also provide cultural consultation to support the non-Aboriginal workforce who work with Aboriginal children and families, with the aim to increasing the delivery of culturally safe and responsive care.

In this important position, you will use your lived experience and cultural knowledge to support children and families navigating mental health and behavioural services. Your role will include:
- Providing culturally sensitive service navigation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their parents/carers accessing the PBTC.
- Enhancing access to appropriate services through direct engagement in hospitals, community settings, via telephone, or telehealth.
- Supporting children and families by facilitating referrals and follow-up with suitable health and social services.
- Collaborating with clinicians and staff to increase culturally safe and responsive care.
- Offering cultural consultation and guidance to non-Aboriginal team members to improve service delivery for Aboriginal families.

**About You**:
- This is an Aboriginal Identified position. - Demonstrated experience providing health education or connection to services and/or relevant vocational qualifications.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to work from various locations around the district
- Has experience in working with Aboriginal children and families, particularly in health, social services, or community support settings.
- Is confident in navigating health and community systems to connect families with appropriate support services.
- Has excellent communication, relationship-building, and advocacy skills.
