The position of Associate sits within our Delay team which supports the Ankura Construction Disputes & Advisory - one of seven practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm.

Ankura’s Construction Disputes & Advisory practice is seeking an Associate to join our growing team of professionals in the Global Construction Practice. This is a significant opportunity to work alongside some of the most highly regarded professionals in the APAC region and be mentored by them.

As an Associate, you will join our growing team of professionals in the Construction Disputes & Advisory practice. You will be mentored to assist in the preparation of pre-dispute advice, litigation support, expert witness testimony, claims assessment, and schedule analysis. You will be responsible for data research, management, and analysis, and support the appointed expert in preparing and presenting results to clients and tribunals.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation of claims and counterclaims in respect of extension of time, loss and expense, disruption, prolongation, and relief from liquidated damages, particularly matters of delay.- Working with a team, assist with the provision of expert advice to clients.- Assist in the delivery of commission services in line with client briefs.- Deliver tasks within specified time frames.

**Requirements**:
- A background in construction or engineering with a related degree.- High level of proficient in the use of Primavera P6 software or similar.- Experienced user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint- Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body.- Understanding of claims and contract administration.- Good written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to identify/defend contractual claims.- Knowledge of main standard forms of contract.- Experience across a range of construction/engineering projects an advantage.- Ability to review technical and non-technical documentation.- Good analytical, research, fact-finding, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines.- Willingness to learn and ambition to progress their career.- Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally.
