**About the role**
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer/ Associate to join Maddocks’ construction litigation team, working with Paul Woods and Anna Scannell. The Construction team has five Partners and works across both front and back-end matters. The team has a strong pipeline of varied and interesting work, across a range of clients, including large construction companies and developers as well as government departments and entities.
This role will see you working across a range of matters for both our public and private clients, including:
- Disputes relating to time (extension of time and delay costs), variations and defects (including latent defects) arising on construction and infrastructure projects.
- Litigated construction disputes in Victorian Courts
- Arbitrations under domestic commercial arbitration legislation in Australia
- Expert determination and mediation
- Experience advising on construction insurance policies (experience in this area would be a bonus but is not essential).
Industries include commercial, energy, gas, electricity, road, rail, mining and residential projects.
