**The Role**
The role will work under limited guidance and be responsible for leading research programs.
The role will focus on:
- Integrating war fighters into platforms such as submarines, surface ships, aircraft and land vehicles
- Integrating equipment on the warfighter, including weapons, protective systems and other body borne systems, when in platforms and dismounted from the platform.
- The role will plan and conduct research in a collaborative setting to address questions about the design of future technologies and future human work systems.
The role will work with universities, industry and international partners to provide advice to Defence clients and Defence projects.
**About our Team**
Our Human Systems team include both human scientists, information fusion scientists, and anthropometry researchers.
- Be a collaborator who can contribute to a high performing team in applied research and practice.
- Provide specialised and timely technical advice as a physical ergonomics and biomechanics expert and researcher.
- Be willing to share technical knowledge and provide support to other team members.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills including liaison with clients and key stakeholders, as well as report writing and information sharing.
- Lead small research teams, university collaborators, and military stakeholder partnerships.
