Working alongside professional and knowledgeable colleagues in a niche area, you will manage a range of contracts for the Torpedo Maintenance Facility (TMF) on HMAS Stirling, Garden Island, WA. You will be part of the TMF's Executive Team, providing advice on procurement and contracting to the Director of the Maritime Explosive Ordnance System Project Office - West (MEOSPO-W). You will also be responsible for attending contract progression meetings with one of our international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). Your contract management skills will be key to influencing the strategic direction of explosive ordnance sustainment.
**About our Team**
The TMF sustains Navy guided explosive ordnance and is located on HMAS Stirling outside Rockingham, WA. The TMF is a maintenance facility and consists of workshops and office space that includes free parking.
The TMF Executive Team is a small team that has the opportunity to really pack a punch when it comes to supporting Defence capability and the Royal Australian Navy’s mission to Fight and Win at Sea. There is international and domestic travel involved in the Contract Manager’s duties as well as the option to negotiate flexible working arrangements.
The TMF is looking for a high performing, experienced Contracts Manager to lead their small but dynamic Procurement and Contracting Team.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a keen eye for detail;
- Be capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders;
- Manage the priorities and needs of customers while meeting/exceeding their expectations;
- Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable; and
- Have a good level of computer literacy.
You should also have a minimum of two years recent experience in either providing governance advice to complex contract clients or managing complex contracts within an integrated workplace.
