We are dedicated to being leaders in integrated healthcare, and we’re seeking a passionate Grounds Officer to maintain and enhance the outdoor aesthetic of our properties across the Central precincts: Fitzroy North, Altona, Whittlesea and Donvale.
Hours of work
This is a full-time, ongoing role working Monday to Friday and possible occasional out of hours work.
What you’ll be doing
- Aspects of both major and minor grounds tasks throughout, including pruning of shrubs, hedges, trees, control and spraying of weeds, fertilising and mulching to accepted horticultural industry standards.
- Garden refurbishment/re-landscaping
- Identify and report on any trip hazards on pathways and lawn areas. Undertake minor paving repairs.
- Monitor and report on condition of trees and infrastructure. Report any damaged infrastructure either identified during or because of undertaking grounds works.
- Maintain irrigation systems
- Cleaning of gutters
- Pressure washing of buildings, pathways
- Undertake routine preventative maintenance and respond to reactive maintenance requirements including minor and common area maintenance in the absence of the Maintenance Officer. Assist the Maintenance Officer if required when a 2-person task is to be undertaken.

- Relevant qualifications
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)

- Working with Children Check
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
