This position involves overseeing a prestigious inner-city private school in Melbourne. **Role Overview**:

- Ensure the excellence in presentation and function of all facilities, grounds, and spaces.
- Maintain gardens, lawns, and paths to the highest standards.
- Keep facilities and equipment in good working order.
- Monitor heating and cooling levels in rooms and buildings.
- Identify items beyond repair for replacement, coordinating replacements with the Business Manager and Operations Manager.
- Maintain a log of service requests and take necessary actions.
- Support organizational and educational needs by coordinating setups and preparing spaces in consultation with Events Coordinators.
- Prepare spaces for classes, functions, or events.
- Coordinate physical layouts for functions, assemblies, exams, and classrooms.
- Ensure personnel, catering, and audiovisual equipment are present and operational when required.
- Monitor deliveries and organize distribution.
- Provide staff training and support for facility use.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Workcover standards.
- Conduct maintenance inspections, driver certification, and safety audits on school buses, maintaining compliance with the Bus Safety Act.
- Prepare reports on maintenance compliance as needed.
- Manage fire services and security services, ensuring compliance with MFB standards.
- Engage staff, trades, and contractors such as cleaners, painters, and electricians.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience in building/construction or related trades.
- Familiarity with Information Technology.
- Possession of a valid Working with Children card.
- Proficiency in problem-solving.
- Exceptionally developed organizational skills.
- Capacity to proactively take initiative and follow directions.
- Demonstrated outstanding communication skills across a diverse group of managers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong personal work ethic and unwavering commitment to honesty and integrity.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
