**About the Company**
I'm representing a worldwide developer and owner of renewable energy assets, in their search for an Assistant Land Acquisition Manager.
**About the Role**
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the team in securing land for new renewable energy projects (Wind/PV/BESS). You will be able to build strong and enduring relationships with landowners from initial introduction, through development and the delivery of the project. You will ideally have some experience in a similar role (renewables preferred) and will be willing to travel to rural locations when needed.
**Responsibilities**
- Work with the development team to identify new project sites
- Initiate and develop relationships with landowners of prospective sites, with a view of signing up land
- Take responsibility for land agreements and due diligence for projects
- Maintain and strengthen landowner relationships towards a more formal land tenure position
- Supporting new sites selection work from a property perspective, rights and licences
**Skills & Experience**
- Degree or relevant qualification in legal, property, land or estates management.
- Ideally 2-5 years land acquisition experience (renewables valued highly)
- Strong communication skills and ability to develop relationships with landowners
- Able to travel to rural areas and interstate when needed
